Today’s treat: a poem – basically an addition to my first entry concerning keys. Enjoy reading it 🙂
Key Thoughts
A Door, An Invitation
A key – it’s small, but don’t ignore:
Can open one door it’s made for
Then I should hand it back before
I go back, for that’s not my chore
A Gate, To Alternation
The Key is He who is the Door
A key I shall be, too, therefore
Let others and myself explore
The land beyond familiar shore
A house that shall be locked no more
A garden with surprise in store
A Heart, Determination
You may feel locked inside a jar
Or else locked out, away too far
Regardless of how weird, bizarre
Or if you’re branded by a scar
Black hole, thin air or shooting star
There is a key to who we are
A Treasure, My Narration
The treasure in its chest, safe there?
But keeping it, can that be fair?
My diary – open and share?
Those handcuffs, I am well aware:
Too bright might shine liberty’s glare
What if I’ve lost the key, no care
Now cannot find it anywhere
A Key, Realization
The key can be a melody
A bird’s song in a budding tree
A key, the words, “Yes, I agree”
A tinge of true simplicity
The knowledge: I’m not bound, but free
Or even kids’ cacophony
A spirit of felicity
Activity, vivacity
A Key, A Revelation
The key, an open eye to see
What lies beneath – within each “Me”
The key is: turn, no longer flee
Find treasures for eternity
The Key, I’ve said, the Key is He
A key, thus, I am called to be
To be and use and share the key

Meine lieben deutschen Leser: Heute gibt es leider keine deutsche Version, denn ein Gedicht lässt sich schlecht übersetzen… Trotzdem viel Spaß beim Lesen!
